Soft Recreation

Have you ever walked through your door at night and wondered, “Now what?” Do you ever find yourself wanting to go somewhere or do something, but everyone you know is busy? Maybe you want to try out a new restaurant or go to a concert or watch a movie.

Soft Recreation is a concept that Set Free is developing to the max.

“Here I just spent this last weekend crying in my wine as I don’t have anybody to do anything with on the weekends and here is my chance!!!!! Thanks, Pat.” ~ Sharon

Here are a few ways and reasons we get together:

• Cup of coffee
• Movies
• Favorite television show
• Theater production
• Friday fish fry
• Playing a game of cribbage or mahjong
• Book discussions
• Campfires
• Christian speakers and concerts
• Road trips

Soft Recreation can be anything we make it.

It’s the goal of Set Free to put these connections in place so you, too, have a network to find others who are free and interested in what you would like to do. Generally these activities occur Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, but often they are spontaneous – and spur of the moment things make the sweetest memories.

Your membership to Set Free gives you access to the latest events planned and the women who plan them.

“I…have thoroughly enjoyed the soft recreation nights where we play games, go out for dinner, and go to see various plays. The ladies in this group have been extremely friendly, welcoming, and accepting of my hesitation to jump right into all the more active things right away.” ~ Nancy
